Final Fifteen-Five

WEEK 15 THURSDAY DECEMBER 06 2007 The beta test was conducted via email, and the responses forwarded to me during the week by the project manager. We were all in communication regarding the final processes for our project. For this week, I compiled an overview of the beta test and I also prepared the evaluation report for team submission. We met with our client to debrief about the entire project. Finally we had the showcase presentation. For next week, I plan to resign my duties as an evaluator to this wonderful project and move on to another aspect of my life :)!!

Cheng-Yu Tsai

Hi Cheng-Yu, Please find my deskcrit for your project below; I love the overall design of your project into the shape of a camera, it is very effective. I like your navigation throughout the project; it is easy and clear to follow. I like the clicking sound as if you are taking a picture each time you move to another section. Your text size is good and you have made a good use of color. This is a very good project, my only suggestion is that you review some of your sentences within the project. You also transposed the word “what” on the 3rd page on “How to use a Flash light properly”. I loved your project and look forward to using it to learn how to hopefully take better pictures and get better results. Regards, Remi

I-Yung Hou

Hi I-Yung, Please find my deskcrit for your project below: I find your project highly informative. I like your design and organization. You have a clear navigation and good use of color. Your video clips are large enough for viewing and you also have a good use of font color and style. The only problem I experienced viewing your project was listening to the video clips. It was sometimes choppy. Apart from that, I think you did a really great job and most importantly it is for a very good cause. Well done. Regards, Remi

Radcliffe Campbell

Hi Radcliffe, It has been interesting to see how your project has evolved. A few suggestions that you might think about include the following: On your resources page, you might want to add some instructions to the visitor on how to return to your project once they have finished reviewing a resource. Your navigation could also be reviewed primarily because even if I don’t log in I can still access everything from the top navigation buttons. You may need to review if the log-in section is necessary. I know how much time and effort you put into the project and I think the result is simple and meets your requirement. I think the most important aspect is that you accomplished the overall objective of your project and for that you deserve a commendation for your hard-work and diligence. Regards, Remi

Trudian Trail

Hi Trudian, Please find my deskcrits for your work below I like your poetry garden a lot. Your background sets the tone and that serene feeling comes across. I loved the tour-guide and the background music, it added some more to the ambience of your project. My only suggestion is that at the beginning you could have had a little suggestion or indicator to your visitors to start at the tour guide section. This is a personal preference though. I think you did a good job with the map and the hint which helps guide any visitor through your project I liked your navigation buttons (cute :)). I like that the garden changes when you read through the poems and it becomes totally changed once the poems are completed. I loved your project and look forward to your future projects. Overall an extremely creative project which also connects with the visitor in a deeper level. Great job!! Remi

Fifteen Fives

WEEK 14 November 28th 2007 We had the dress rehearsal and then we conducted our Alpha test with seven of our colleagues in other studio classes. Following the Alpha test, we conducted a meeting the following Saturday, to get an overview of the responses we got from our alpha test and consequently review the changes we needed to make on the project. For this week, based on our observation and feedback received during the Alpha test, I produced a glossary for use in the project. I also reviewed the content of our lessons to ensure that it matched the content in the project. For next week I plan to work with the data compiled from both the alpha and beta and complete the final evaluation report for submission.
